Learning Lab Cybersecurity: Data Protection for IT forensics

In the seminar, which is conducted by the Fraunhofer Academy, IT forensic experts get an overview of the data protection law permissible framework of the processing of personal data, which results from the General Data Protection Regulation and the Federal Data Protection Act. Knowledge of the data protection law system enables IT forensic scientists to assess themselves whether they are working in accordance with the data protection law permissible framework and what measures they can take if necessary to be able to carry out their work in accordance with data protection.

The target group of the seminar are IT forensic experts in companies and public authorities.

After the seminar, participants can

  • assess for themselves whether they are working in accordance with the data protection framework within their work
  • Take measures to carry out their work in accordance with data protection

 The seminar offers

  • An overview of typical traps that put IT forensics at risk of violating applicable privacy laws
  • An overview of requirements that help to work in compliance with data protection

The Learning Lab Cybersecurity is a collaboration between Fraunhofer and selected universities of applied sciences in order to transfer current findings in the field of cybersecurity to further education offers for companies.
